STEEL DAYS PARADE
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Steel Days Parade Information
The steel days parade is July 18th. The girls need to meet at Walkers on Main Street in American Fork at 8:30 a.m. The parade will start this year at 9:30 a.m. We are number 37a. You will be in charge of picking your girls up at the end of the parade at the Pony League Ball Fields north of the American Fork Fitness Center. Please make sure that your girls are on time with their hair pulled up out of their face and they have sunscreen on. Also your girls need to bring a water bottle with their name on it! We will have four wheelers with a cooler for each grade for the girls to put the water bottle they bring in it. The girls will be performing the sideline dances and cheers they learned at camp so make sure they practice them.
Also, you need to pick up your uniforms on Friday July 17th, at the park in the high school paking lot right behind the church from 7-8 p.m. Please make sure to come pick these up so everyone can have it for the parade, and so that we don't have to bring them to everyone.
And, for the parent reps, or the parade moms, we are only allowed to have one four wheeler per grade. Make sure you bring a cooler for your girls water bottles to put on the back of your four wheeler. If you are planning on bringing it you need to call Keira(801-717-5238) before the parade. Please make sure you talk to me before the parade. If you do not have a four wheeler to bring please call me as well. Thanks so much to all of you, we are so excited for the parade this year!! If you have any questions about the parade please call Keira.

Just a little note: With summer approaching, we are all going to be busy with camps and family vacations. Please review your Participation Agreement. Persistent attendance problems will result in suspension or termination. We have tried to be flexible with girls camp and a family vacation, but we have been getting feedback from the coaches that some girls are going to be missing up to five weeks this summer. This is not fair to the families that have planned their summer in consideration of their girl's commitment to the squad. If you are not committed and are not willing to work out a schedule to include cheerleading, please reconsider participating. Cheerleading takes the whole squad (TEAM), it is not like any other team sport, there is noone on the bench to take your place.

It's the glimmer of hope when times are tough;
It's a bit more patience when we've had enough.
It's that thoughtful smile when one's desperately needed,
It's that extra push, a reason why we've succeeded.
This part of our personality which never fails to strive,
Is the creator of our goals and the source of our drive.
We are enthused about life, optimistic about what's to come,
Because the cheerleader inside looks for to life's fun.
It emerges as a friend to lend you a hand.
Where does this light come from, where does the ray start?
It shines in your mind, but ignites in your heart.
The confidence to try, the will to believe,
The acceptance of failure and the way to achieve.
It's very close by, its something we trust.
It's the fighter inside, it's the cheerleader within us.
The time has come once againto show what we can do,
to work together as a team, not just as one or two.
Together we can do anything that our hearts desire.
You know we have done it even though we are tired.
So let's look to one another for comfort and cheer.
Let's lean on one another as we cry our tears.
Because together we have a goal that we all have set.
And that's to be the best team the crowd has seen yet
So let's go out on that floor as a winning team.
Let's do what we do best and make that crowd scream.
Because together we can do it.
Together we can.
Together we can be the best team in the land.
GO CAVEMEN!!!!!
